Some highlights from 2006 at Open Arms: 
-22 added to the church-
Over 1300 saved in Prison Crusades
We celebrated our 1st anniversary in the new property
We began construction on new bathrooms and new offices.
We had a great camp-meeting with Larry & Jana Hinson.
In 2006 we had a lot of great singers come by and give concerts.
Most notably was the "Crabb Family"  What an awesome time.
We had Mercy's Mark, Richard Robertson, Sould Out, Donnie Sumner also.
We bought a motor home for the prison ministry.
We contracted for property next door for Women's Rehab Center.
We purchased an overhead projector and more media stuff!
Del & Frieda Carter came at the end of the year to be part of OACC
We had our annual Cross Walk and Cross presentation
We had our annual Trick and Trunk for the kids
We had 3 inmates just out from prison join our church.
Pastor Larry celebrated his 28th year in ministry.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
OUR CHurCH CHANGED SO MUCH IN 2005!

- 30 new members were led to OACC
- 1278 inmates were saved during prison crusades
- 4 people went home to be with Jesus: Mikel Story, Janie Hughes, Floyd Wood, Mercedes Torres
- There were 2 weddings: Barbie & Justin and Farrah & Reggie
- 4 babies were born: Shawn Wayne Athon, Robert James Evan Ito, Autumn Renee Brantley, Kensley Michelle Snyder
- God showered us with blessings with our new property - we bought it in May & we moved in June
- 3 Bible Studies were completed: 40 Days of Purpose, The Names of God, & The Weapons of Our Warfare
- Open Arms Thrift Store opened in July of 2005
- Our first annual Summer Picnic was held...fun, fun, fun!!!
- Donations were made for the purchase of a prison van
- A family in Brunswick, GA donated a van for the use of the ministry
- Mr. Chris Tolbert taught a wonderful soul winning class
- It was our honor to host the 3 Cross Presentation, a tradition we plan to continue
- Our 2nd Trick or Trunk was a blast
- We hosted the following concerts at OACC: Donnie Sumner, Gloryland Singers, Girlfriends for Jesus, Brian Free & Assurance, Richard Robertson
- For the first time, we had a Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service - what a moving time!
- We went on a Ramblin' Road Trip for the 2005 VBS
- The women's ministry hosted the first annual Women's Conference
- Michael Moore & Walk On Ministries shared their testimony with us; 8 young people pledged to walk on free from drugs & alcohol
  

ISN'T OUR GOD AWESOME???

2005 was such an exciting year for Open Arms.  We know that God is never stale or behind-times ~ we expect new & wonderful things in the coming year.  Don't miss a minute; you'll miss a lot!

 

 


 

 
 
OUR CHRUCH CHANGED SO MUCH IN 2004!
 
-31 people joined the church
 
-3 people went to be with Jesus:  Andy Ruzicka, Jordan Cribbs, & Ed Lybolt
 
-4 couples got married:  Shawn & Bill, Cassie & Jamie, Amanda & R.J., & Johnene & Frankie
 
-5 babies were born:  Tony Jr., Carson, Lauro, Allie, & Brodie
 
-2 people were licensed:  David Hagen & Valeria Hughes 
 
-1 person was ordained:  David Hagen
 
-Emily came to work as part time secretary to the Pastor
 
-we completed or 2nd church directory
 
 -we opened a bookstore
 
-we began our website
 
-the prayer chain began
 
-our Sunday morning worship times changed from 11:00 to 10:30 & Sunday School was moved to Wednesday nights
 
-Jack & Beatrice led 2 yard sales profiting the church over $2000
 
-Sunbelt Nissan donated a double wide to the church…we in turn sold it and were able to put a new roof on the church with the proceeds
 
 --we had an awesome campmeeting in May & met our new friend & brother in Christ Pastor Robbie Gibson from Open Arms in Vass, NC
 
-we were able to refinance the church mortgage and lower our monthly payment 
 
-we came out of the Baptist Association & now classify ourselves as a multi-denominational church
 
-our church changed its look with the remodeled fellowship hall, new pews, new offices, and wallpapered foyer
 
-we recorded a church CD that included many singers from our congregation
 
-our children’s programs were started:  Children’s Church, TeamKids, & Youth
 
-GOD MOVED IN OUR MIDST IN SUCH A WAY THAT WE ARE NO LONGER THE SAME!!!!
