Jesus Built This Church On Love

 Miracle Prison Ministry

"Jesus Came to set the Captives Free"
established 1985
Dr. Larry W. Beam,  Executive Director

OVER 22,000 INMATES SAVED DURING THE PAST 25 YEARS

Miracle Prison Ministry got its start in 1985 when we first visited an inmate at Stevenson Correctional Institution.  With that first visit, a seed was planted in the heart of Dr. Larry W. Beam to visit prisons and be a witness to inmates of what the power of God can do in a life.  Not only that first inmate but also another former inmate are both now in ministry for the Lord Jesus Christ, one being a full-time pastor of Open Arms Community Church in Fayetteville, NC.  A worship leader in Stockbridge, GA is also one of the inmates we had the opportunity to minister to years ago.  God changes lives!!  Thousands have been saved and restored through the power of God and the revealing of His Word to them.  We praise God that Miracle Prison Ministry is an instrument God uses. God is continually using this ministry to bring men and women out of prison into ministry for Jesus.  We witness every month, someone who stops by our church to see us and give us a testimony of what God did in their life while we were there at the prison.  God is using us all, and we give Him the glory for it.  Praise Him.

Volunteers

In Matthew 25:36, Jesus speaking says,  "I was in prison and you visited me."  As Christians, we should be willing to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with anybody - we should be willing to go into institutions with His good news.  We are blessed to have many members of Open Arms Community Church and others who are outside our own church who join with us several times a month as we travel for the Lord Jesus.  They see the need and answer the call as they faithfully go.

There is a place for you! You too can be a volunteer just by going through the training and getting on board.  God will truly bless you.  Please contact the church office if you are interested in learning more about this ministry.

 Prisons

Our current schedule includes the following prisons:   Johnson State Prison, Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Center,, Kershaw Correctional Institution, Turbeville Correctional Institution, Broad River Correctional, Leath Correctional Institution, Allendale Correctional Institution, McCormick Correctional Institution. Washington State Prison, and Georgia State Prison.

Support

We are always grateful to God for His support.  He sends us people who will pray and help us financially as we do the work that the Lord has called us to do.  The cost of traveling to the prisons is ever-increasing; if you feel led by God to help us through donations, we will be blessed to have your support and we will be careful to be good stewards of what God gives us through you.  Whatever the Lord leads you to do, it will be the right thing and you will be blessed!

A SMALL PART OF WHAT GOD HAS DONE:

Part of Miracle Prison Ministry -
celebrating with Ed Brownlow his release from prison, November 2009
Pastor Larry with Ed Brownlow - November 2009

On Saturday, June 21, 2008, Miracle Prison Ministry visited Al Burruss Correctional Training Center in Forsyth County, GA for 2 chapel services.  The first service was for inmates in Boot Camp - these are younger men who are just entering the prison system.  As a result of the power of God moving in the service, 44 men gave their lives to Christ!  During the second service, a service reserved for general population, 43 men gave their lives to Christ!  87 men changed by God...just imagine the impact they can make as they walk for Him!
Praise God for this miracle - for isn't it a miracle every time a soul is passed from death to life?

God is mighty to save, He is mighty to save!
On Friday, July 4, Miracle Prison Ministry ministered at Washington State Prison.  Mr. Bill Crain, a minister in training at OACC, led the team in message.  With God's leading, 4 men gave their hearts to the Lord!  Four men returned to their bunks changed.  Four men were made new on the inside.  Praise God!
As if that wasn't enough to make Satan furious, on Saturday the 5th Miracle Prison Ministry visited Johnson State Prison.  The time they had in the Lord was awesome - 57 more gave their lives to God.

May 12th, 2009  Dr. Beam traveled with Crabb Revival to Washington State Prison at Davisboro, GA.  Warden Roberts and Chaplain Cobb welcomed them and brought them into the gym and had the East Side population come in.  Crabb Revival,  (Adam Crabb, Zach Smith, Amanda Smith, Mich Schweinberg and Jedidiah Richard) brought the "Runaway Train Tour" to the inmates and Gerald Crabb gave his testimony and sang.  Dr. Beam gave his testimony and inmates lives were changed.  After about a 30 minute break the West Sid population was brought in and the program was repeated.  After all of this over 180 hands were raised to follow Jesus.  Praise God - Thank you Jesus.  Thanks Adam and Crabb Revival, Gerald Crabb and most of all thank you to the Holy Ghost for pouring out on us.  We will do this again....

May 11, 2010, Once again Crabb Revival, Gerald and Debi Crabb and Pastor Larry  travelled to Washington State Prison.  We were welcomed once again by our brother in Christ, Gary Cobb, the chaplain there.  It was 7:30AM and all of us were still half asleep.  An incident at the prison had caused problems with some being locked down.  But, what a blessing for us, because most of the time after any kind of problem, they lock the prison down and we would not be allowed in.  This time, we were and Crabb Revival,  Adam Crabb, Zack and Amanda Smith, Micah Schweinberg, and Jedidiah Richards brought on the praise and
worship.  A lot of the staff came by and attended both services.  We saw 45 men give their lives to Jesus.  Awesome God He is!  We will do it again and again.  Jesus is Lord.
CONGRATULATIONS to Miracle Prison Ministry for being chosen as one of the leading Faith Based Contributors of 2006 by the GA Dept. of Corrections!
