"A People Being Transformed in Christ through Faith, Worship, Witness and Service"
Pastor Larry's Blog
October 14, 2011Hey everybody, you know Jesus is Lord, God is good, The joy of the Lord is our strength, and today we look at the verse in the Bible which says, " For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. Thenyou will call on me and comd and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13. I really believe that more than ever before, as I am watching God take folks out of their comfort zone and put them in a plan that requires the "seeking Him with all our heart." As I am looking at the church, the body of Christ, I see so many who have grown cold and indifferent to the heart of God. It is all about them, and I see the Hand of God many times uproot our plans for the ones He has for us. A lot of times we fact the future with fear, but with God, we can walk with faith in Him and know that He is the author and finisher of our faith and walk in Him. He knows the end before we know the beginning. We want the things in our lives to be easy and calm, yet many times we have to be pushed out of our normal into t he supernatural. Many times God rebukes us of sin, and we repent and are faced with those who were part of our sin, condeming us for hearing God and turning from it. Sin is not just alcoholism, drug addiction, adultery, and fornication, it is not doing what God tells you to do. The song, "My hope is built on Jesus blood and righteousness." tells it all. We are His workmanship and when we get our lives right, He brings gifts to us, plans to increase the kingdom of God. You will be persecuted for His sake by people sometimes who are carrying the banner of Christianity, yet it is our mandate to "love one another". Could we start doing that, loving one another, encouraging one another. The church houses are empty of people who need more of Him, yet we fail to invite and encourage them, by showing them the love of God in our lives. Not that we have attained it all, but we are trying. Paul said, "forgetting those things behind us and pressing toward the mark of the prize of high calling in Jesus. God needs you in your place for Him, not only on Su nday, but every day of the week. God is making changes in our lives to suit Him. That's what we ought to do is please Him. He died for you, He loves you, He takes care of you. He is the mighty God Jehovah. Praise Him! I am on the road in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and thinking of you. See you next week. Be blessed and prosper and be in health as your soul prospers. I love you. Pastor Larry
